100%Great sewing machine. Arrived so quickly. With the discount code it was cheaper than Argos and you also get a 10 year guarantee which you don't with Argos. Instructions were a tad confusing but if you type in Singer 4423 on youtube, there are a few videos that show you how to set up the machine and thread it. Once you get your head around it, it is very easy to thread. Sometimes when I can't be bothered to auto thread it, manual threading it is no problem at all. Machine has been gliding through thick fabrics and is very easy to use. Highly recommended machine.

100%My wife and I set up the machine the evening after the box arrived and we are absolutely delighted with it. Thank you for the recommendation. It was so easy and staight forward to set up and some work was done and completed within fifteen minutes, yes believe me, of opening the box. We have a family wedding in about six weeks and a swathe of Bunting is required for the Marquee which we are mass producing together, The great advantage to this machine is it is completely "push Button" for the selection of stitch, Provided the needle is placed the right way round, the Top Thread is fed round exactly as instructed, and the Bobbin is loaded the correct way (thread comes out anti clock-wise), it all goes just like clockwork! Being a chap, I re-wound the bobbin fine and then got it loaded the wrong way, so I telephoned the Helpline, with the result that I spoke to a lady who went through the whole process with me and I was up and machining again in no time. Excellent support available therefore and thanks Singer for that. Mrs H came home and got a super surprize as the day's cutting was all machined. What I liked was the variable speed offered by the foot pedal, It does vary with foot pressure unlike our older machine. which races from the off. And whoever invented the needle threader should get a medal ( I did not need my glasses and I am nearly 70!).So if a chap can use it. ......................................go for it you ladies! Most grateful thanks.

100%Absolutely delighted with service and product. I purchased the machine for my daughters 30th, neither of us are techo minded nor are we sewing experts but this machine is perfect so easy to use within an hour of opening my daughter had produced two excellent cushion covers, the machine is so simple to set up and the instruction clear, we did check out a you tube video but as I say within an hour my daughter was up and running, two day saw her produce a skirt. My grand daughter loves it too so I think we have years of making and sewing ahead of us, now considering buying one for myself. I was disappointed when I was notified that the product was out of stock but the delivery came in very quick and the machine arrived the next day. The name says it all confidence..

80%A lovely machine, very easy to use - delighted with the buttonholes! Delivery was very prompt. However, I'm very disappointed with the lettering, I was hoping for 'satin stitch ' style letters which could be seen on clothing, nor can the size be altered. I can't see any possible use for the single line of stiching similar to a pencil line that this does. Perhaps this is my fault for buying on line without seeing the machine in action, but the description does not make it clear about the style of lettering.

80%A very robust machine with excellent stitching. My only complaint is the spool for the thread is not as robust as I would like and because it slopes, the thread can become caught. My solution will be to use the extra spool that sits on top of the machine.

100%A fantastic sewing machine. I already have three Singer Sewing Machines, some old some new. I love Singer. This model does what it says - and it is quieter than my other models. So if you are thinking which one to buy and don't need one with all the frills, (although this model has many features) and you want one that is sturdy - this is an excellent choice. Thank you again SInger!

100%I am a complete beginner and have already built so much confidence from the ease of use with this machine. The instructions are so easy to follow, the service upon getting this machine was second to none, I really went for it for its simple and easy to use aspect, but it keeps up with the rest in style and versatility. One very happy bunny!!!!

100%I only received this machine a few days ago so haven't actually made a garment yet, but have had fun playing with it. I'm really impressed - the fact that it's computer controlled makes all the embroidery stitches easy to sew and very neat. The results on my old machine were nowhere near as good. The auto tension and auto stitch length are brilliant as it will save me having to mess around trying to get the perfect result. The fact that you can adjust them if you need to is also really handy. For the price it's a wonderful machine - I really can't fault it.

100%Thank you so much for my new Singer and for such a rapid delivery. Your choice of courier cannot be faulted either, they text to give choice of delivery day and then again to give a time. I haven't used it yet but have no worries that it will be all it's supposed to be. Thank you again

100%What a quality machine. Easy to use and I love the bobbin thread system and needle threading facility. I have just returned to sewing and these features are new to me and a blessing. Fabulous range of stitches too. I bought this machine mainly for simple household sewing tasks but now there's no stopping me. As it is so simple to use I am now not only making home furnishings and clothes but have also taken up patchwork and quilting and the machine copes with the lot - it even came up with a graphic on the LCD when I forgot to push the buttonhole lever back up! Highly recommended machine for experienced and new sewists alike.

100%I have owned a singer for many many years, it is very old and needed replacing. Due to this I haven't sewed for ages so this machine seemed perfect for my needs. It was easy to get started except the foot fell out and i couldn't find anywhere in the book telling me how to put it back on, although I did manage in the end. I had lots of mending to do so thought I would tackle that first, all was fine until sewing the seam of a pair of jeans when the needle then broke. Guessing I should have used a stronger needle! The machine is pretty quiet and runs smoothly. All in all I am happy with this machine and I am hoping with time and a little patience we may be great friends :)

100%Bought this machine for my daughters birthday in February. She is delighted with it. Looked at other small lightweight machines but reviews were not good and everyone seemed to rate this one highly. She found it easy to set up and she started off by taking up kitchen curtains and now she is doing all sorts of jobs including making a fancy dress outfit for her little boy. Very good buy +++++++
