The Singer Tradition 2259 is a well constructed with a metal internal frame and is a sturdy machine ready to stitch for many years.

It is a base or starter for using as a reliable home sewing machine for either running up curtains or repairing the zip a new pair of pants. It will also help the user cover many tasks, even dressmaking.

The Singer 2259 sews buttonholes in four simple steps. It will sew seams and the reverse function will stop the start and ends from unravelling. Save time and instead of hand sewing a hem when those new curtains are too long, use one of the 19 stitch functions. The "blind hem", can be used for invisible hemming. Taking-up a pair of curtains or skirt hem will never be a tortures hand sewing task again, thanks to the Tradition 2259.

Because it has a solid cast aluminium internal body, it is ready to sew multiple layers of denim or heavy furnishing materials. Presser feet can be quickly replaced when needed for more exciting attachments like the ruffler. Most feet are clip-on type and a full range of accessories are available.
